If you checked this story you already know how I got my (first) motorcycle, the Suzuki DR650SE.
The DR650SE is a dual sport bike that looks and acts more like a dirtbike than a touring bike, and is at best offroad and on trail routes. And that’s exactly where it took me for my first motorcycling season.
Starting from the moment I brought the DR650SE to Brasov and till the first snow of 2014, I rode my bike almost on a daily basis. It was the motivation to wake up early, be efficient at work and get out to learn to ride.
At first I had no equipment whatsoever so I borrowed an old helmet and jacket from my friend Cristian, and I just rode in my mountain boots. And I know it sounds cheesy but each and every time I was getting on the motorcycle I was feeling butterflies in my stomach, and I think people who ride know exactly what I mean.
The next photos were taken during one of my most memorable autumns ever.
Just a break to enjoy the sunset
Sort of a disclaimer
In my first motorcycling season I was too much of a n00b to carry a camera while riding, so all these pics were shot with my good old HTC One, of which I pretty much thought to have the best mobile camera in the world (an easy mistake considering at the time I haven’t yet tried an iPhone 🙂
